Paul Haddad, Concurrent's senior vice president of Media Data and Advertising Solutions, will join a diverse panel of industry professionals across the multiplatform TV spectrum to debate the best ways to reach consumers through advertising on new platforms. The "TV Everywhere; is advertising welcome too?" session is on Wednesday, March 23, at 17:20 p.m.
Other panelists joining Haddad include:
- Deborah Armstrong, SVP of Sales for Fox International Channels, UK
- Tess Alps, CEO of Thinkbox, UK
- Thomas Curwen, CEO of Kii Marketing, UK and
- Nigel Walley, Managing Director for Decipher, UK
"With today's consumers watching content over any network and any device, it's up to us as industry leaders to ensure the content and advertising provided is relevant," said Haddad. "By collecting and correlating census-level media data from multiple screens, we can better understand consumer preferences, and ensure we deliver intelligently targeted advertising and content strategies."
The panel will dive into a number of topics, including consumers' receptivity to advertising on new video platforms; emerging technologies to capture viewer behavior; and best practices for engaging consumers through increasingly personalized content and targeted advertising.
As part of IP&TV World Forum 2011, the leading event on Hybrid, IP & Connected TV, Concurrent also will demonstrate its new personal video sharing solutions that was previously only available online. Through its i2TV-v Share service based on Concurrent's Unified Services Delivery Platform (USDP) and VoD system cable operators now can let their subscribers share personal videos across all three screens- TV, PC, and mobile phone.
At Stand No. 267 Concurrent will show how cable operators can bring this technology to their subscribers, as well as talk about options on how to generate revenue from subscriptions, advertising and more.
