Communities In Schools National Board of Directors Unveil New Brand
ARLINGTON, Va., May 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Communities In Schools National Board Chairman Elaine Wynn and Board Member Lenny Stern joined Communities In Schools Founder and Vice Chairman Bill Milliken and President Dan Cardinali Friday, May 21st for the unveiling of the new organizational brand identity and logo. The ceremony, held at the Communities In Schools national office in Arlington, Va., was broadcast live on the web to more than 260 sites nationwide so that affiliates, staff and volunteers could participate along with the entire board of directors and the Communities In Schools national office staff.
"Communities In Schools is now a major national organization with 4,600 staff and 57,000 volunteers serving more than 1.3 million young people each year," said Elaine Wynn. "Our brand identity should reflect that scope and drive continued growth in our ability to serve more young people."
Friday's unveiling was a culmination of nearly two years of consumer research and collaboration across the Communities In Schools network. The comprehensive rebranding effort, known as the One Voice campaign, was designed to focus and contemporize Communities In Schools' core messages and visual identity. The campaign unifies the words and images being used to represent Communities In Schools around the country, and raises the organization's visibility, both nationally and in the local communities it serves.
"The goal of One Voice is to build awareness and public engagement across the Communities In Schools network so that we're able to serve more young people," Stern said in remarks during the presentation.
The rollout will be phased in over the next 12 months to allow Communities In Schools local affiliates time to incorporate the new identity into their operational and marketing activities.
