Chicago Cultural Mile Association offers free and discounted activities to spice up Taste of Chicago
CHICAGO, July 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago Cultural Mile Association and dozens of partnering cultural organizations and businesses are celebrating Taste of Chicago by presenting a variety of free and discounted cultural offerings at this month's 2nd Fridays on the Chicago Cultural Mile. "As an association dedicated to raising awareness of the strengths of this unique area, we are excited to participate in this year's Taste of Chicago by offering participants programming that showcases this part of Michigan Avenue and the Museum Campus as the destination for art, culture and fun," according to J.R. Davis, Chairman and President of the Chicago Cultural Mile Association.
"We are encouraging everyone to come down and experience everything that the Taste of Chicago has to offer and while you're here, sample some of the fun cultural activities our neighborhood has to offer at this month's 2nd Fridays on the Chicago Cultural Mile," Davis said. "As always, 2nd Fridays will bring the business and cultural community together by featuring programming and providing visitors with access to free and sharply discounted entertainment, dining and activities," he continued.
Some of the featured events and deals that are being offered on July 10th include:
- 2 for 1 tickets for the Chicago Architecture Foundation Tour
- 20 percent discount for the Chicago Trolley and Double Decker Tour
- Free with Museum Admission, Gallery Talk and the Art Institute of Chicago featuring a conversation about Art & Ritual in Africa
- Free Open Studios at the Fine Arts Building
- Free Pizza at the Italian Village Restaurants from 4-6:00PM
- Half off appetizers at Chucks: A Kerry Simon Kitchen
