Colorescience® Receives Patent for Formulation of Even Up® Clinical Pigment Perfector®

CARLSBAD, Calif., July 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Colorescience® is pleased to announce that the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted a patent (US Patent No. 9,956,163) for the company's innovative LUMIRA™ formulation, a clinically tested, highly effective complex that addresses the appearance of skin discoloration, found in the 3-in-1 treatment product, Even Up® Clinical Pigment Perfector®. 

The now patented formulation found in Even Up® Clinical Pigment Perfector® is an advanced treatment product that offers users three-in-one skincare benefits of SPF 50 all-mineral protection, immediate color correction benefits and ingredients that address the pigmentation pathway in the long term.

In a 12-week clinical trial, 94% of patients who used Even Up® twice a day in addition to their regular daily skincare and makeup regimen reported an improvement in the appearance of age spots and pigmentation, while 96% reported improvement in the appearance of skin evenness. In addition, 15% of participants noticed an improvement in their bare skin marked by a significant reduction in the appearance of pigmentation after 12 weeks.
