Clune Restructures Midwest Executive Management To Support Growth And Announces Regional Promotions
CHICAGO, Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Clune Construction Company (Clune) is pleased to announce the appointments of Dave Hall as Executive Managing Director – President – Midwest Region, and Vince Gutekanst as Executive Managing Director – Midwest Region. In these newly-created positions, Hall will oversee the firm's Midwest regional operations, and Gutekanst will oversee the firm's Midwest regional marketing and business development efforts. The creation of these positions is a result of Clune's growth and expansion in the region. Management of the Midwest region was previously spearheaded by Clune CEO Bill Abromitis.

Dave Hall
Hall is a founding member of Clune Mission Critical, the critical data infrastructure division of Clune. During his time at Clune and while managing the mission critical group, he has served as an Executive Administrative Lead and companywide Operations Director. Hall studied electrical engineering and holds a degree in building construction management from Purdue University. Hall has performed pro bono work for several nonprofit organizations including Feed My Starving Children and Impact Behavioral Health Partners. He has been with the firm for more than 20 years and has the proven skill set to oversee Clune's Midwest regional operations. Hall is also member of the Executive Management Committee.
Vince Gutekanst
Gutekanst has worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years and has been with Clune for nearly 20 years. He has managed many high-profile projects for industry-leading financial services firms, law firms and Fortune 500 companies. Gutekanst has become a well-known and respected Clune executive in the regional market. His experience and extensive relationships have prepared him to be successful in managing the firm's regional marketing and the administration of business development efforts. Gutekanst holds a bachelor of arts from Drake University.
Both Hall and Gutekanst have supported Abromitis in various capacities, and assisted in increasing revenue in the Midwest region.
Additional Promotions
In addition to the appointments of Hall and Gutekanst, Clune is excited to announce the following promotions of staff members who have been instrumental in Clune's success and growth as a national contractor:
Ben Walker
Walker, who serves as President of the New York Region, was named Executive Managing Director. Walker started at Clune as an intern nearly 20 years ago and has overseen the operations of Clune's New York office since 2013. Clune New York has seen significant growth and been named one of the Best Places to Work in New York by Crain's New York Business under Walker's leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Purdue University. Walker is a member of the Clune Executive Committee.
Tommy Dwyer
Dwyer was named Executive Managing Director, New York Region. Dwyer has more than 35 years of experience working in the construction industry in the New York region. Studying mechanical engineering at the Regional Technical College Galway Ireland, he worked his way up to managing projects for industry-leading and global law firms, retail and media companies, as well as financial firms and an array of Fortune 500 companies. Dwyer and Walker complement each other in managing the New York office.
Tony Giachinta
Giachinta was named Executive Managing Director Mid-Atlantic Region. Giachinta participates in the operations of Clune's Washington, DC office with Regional President and Managing Director Jim Murty, and has worked in the construction industry for nearly 30 years. He is an active participant in many industry groups, such as CoreNet, the Washington Building Congress, and the District of Columbia Building Industry Association. Additionally, he is on the executive committee for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Greater Washington and a board member for the Boulder Crest Retreat for Wounded Warriors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from New York University and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Marist University. Similar to the New York office Giachinta and Murty share regional leadership responsibilities.
Randy Starbird
Starbird was named Executive Managing Director, West Region. Starbird started at Clune as an intern and has been with the firm for 25 years. He has worked his way through each level to Executive Managing Director. Starbird has been instrumental in growing the volume of Clune's work in the West Region and has overseen the execution of hundreds of projects in a leadership role for large tech companies, high-profile law firms, and Fortune 500 companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Southern California.
