Clique Hospitality's New York-Inspired Restaurant Concept 'Greene St. Kitchen' Is Now Open And Will Celebrate Its Official Grand Opening April 5 At PALMS Casino Resort
LAS VEGAS, April 1, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- New York-inspired street art and culinary dining destination, Greene St. Kitchen, is now open and will be celebrating its grand opening the weekend of April 5 in conjunction with the grand opening of KAOS Dayclub and Nightclub at PALMS Casino Resort in Las Vegas with an action-packed star-studded weekend. The culinary, design-driven restaurant created by Andy Masi's Clique Hospitality, pays homage to the avant garde art scene of New York City's Soho district during the '80s - a time when hip hop, punk, street/pop art and food all blended together to create a cultural melting pot. Drawing inspiration from the art community, Greene St. Kitchen toys with guest's tastebuds with its casual, yet refined menu of modern American cuisine.
Executive Chef Joe Zanelli, whose resume includes working with some of Las Vegas' most respected culinary restaurants and chefs, helms the kitchen. He most recently led the week-long Supper Series pop up at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival for Greene St. Kitchen.
Offering shared plates and larger plate options, Greene St. Kitchen features hot and cold dishes, tableside hot rock offerings, vegan options and only the freshest seafood. Standout dishes include the Crispy Duck Pancakes, Jidori Chicken Kebabs and Whole Steamed Striped Bass. While the chefs alone are cuisine artists, Greene St. Kitchen mixologists reveal the artistry in each and every cocktail. Just as the Soho artists pushed the boundaries with each piece, the mixologists push the envelope with creative, innovative and unique cocktails with a twist. Handcrafted to taste, each drink at Greene St. is a true masterpiece.
While the journey into Greene St. Kitchen is not your average one, guests begin through a fully-functioning, throwback video arcade with classic games lining the walls and a 1980s 8-bit video-inspired tiled floor. The "speakeasy" arcade leads guests to a soda pop machine. Spoiler alert: there's no soda there, but a tunnel entrance where they are greeted by an art installation from graffiti artist SLICK. Down the short pathway are layers of tags representing graffiti legends such as SEEN, P-NUT, BLAZE and STAY HIGH 149 from NYC-based graffiti artist CES.
Upon entering the multi-room restaurant, designed by Rockwell Group, is an interplay of gritty and lush moments found in urban street life. In the dining lounge, a stunning gold, bird cage-like bar offers guests inventive craft cocktails and features an art piece from LA-based graffiti artist RISK. A backdrop set by prolific graffiti/street artist VHILS is exhibited throughout alongside artwork from BIKISMO. Murals from husband-and-wife visual artists DabsMyla give the dining rooms a touch of whimsy and grandeur. LA-based artist Cleon Peterson showcases his striking visual artwork and colorful pop culture art is displayed from Kenny Scharf. The restaurant also honors acclaimed street art photographer, Martha Cooper, with a gallery of some of her most noteworthy photographs that document the 70s and '80s graffiti and hip-hop scenes in NYC. The open-air garden patio serves as an al fresco dining oasis with a lively mural from modern pop artist POSE. The collection, sure to wow patrons, is curated by Palms' Creative Director Tal Cooperman.
