CLIA Promotes Value of Meetings Through Participation In "Meetings Mean Business" Campaign
WASHINGTON, Jan. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), alongside many leaders from the travel and event industry, today announced its support for and active participation in the "Meetings Mean Business" campaign. This campaign will create an information and advocacy platform to showcase the positive impacts of the meeting and event industry on businesses, destinations, local economies and the development of human capital. CLIA is a member of the campaign's coalition along with other businesses, professional associations and destination marketing organizations.
CLIA President and CEO, Christine Duffy, attended the kickoff event at the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Convening Leaders Annual Meeting in Boston earlier this week and issued the following statement:
