Clermont County Educational Service Center Offers Educators 'it's learning' Online Training Courses
Training ensures district's educators effectively use technology to focus on student success and 21st Century Skills
BURLINGTON, Mass., Oct. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Clermont County Educational Service Center (CCESC), a provider of educational services and resources for educators and students, has partnered with it's learning, inc. (www.itslearning.net), a learning management system designed for K-12 and higher education, to provide professional development for districts that adopt the learning system. The professional development sessions are designed to assist teachers, administrators, and advisors with best practices for effectively designing content and assessments that are aligned to academic standards for use in their classrooms and at home by students as an instructional aide to increase learning outcomes.
Cathy Macdonald, Ed.D., technology supervisor at CCESC, will administer the professional development and support services to educators who implement the it's learning platform. Macdonald, an experienced online course developer, providing courses currently for thousands of teachers across Ohio, was recently introduced to the platform and understood the significant role that the tool can have in the educational setting.
"it's learning provides a great one-stop tool for teachers that want to increase the use of technology in the classroom and providing students with an online learning component," said Macdonald. "The platform's functionality and tools make it perfect for STEM initiatives and directly aligns with the flex-credit requirements in place for Ohio schools. The product platform is much more sophisticated than other options available on the market today, and it is extremely easy to use. We look forward to supporting the growth of 21st century technology skills in classrooms throughout the region and providing comprehensive professional development programs for it's learning adopters."
CCESC serves nine school districts located throughout Clermont County and school districts throughout Ohio by providing online professional development, curriculum, instruction, and school improvement courses and resources for educators, in addition to numerous other services. In response to the success of CCESC's programs, the organization will expand nationally this year.
CCESC currently offers it's learning training for a fee of $995 per session. Each session allows up to 10 participants and consists of hands-on orientation to the product where teachers, administrators, and advisors can learn the basic functionality of the program and best practices for use. Advanced sessions will also be offered to individuals who want additional assistance to help increase their skill level. For more information about CCESC, visit www.ccesc.org.
