WILTON MANORS, Fla., Jan. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Music will come to the City's parks this year when the City of Wilton Manors launches Live Music at Mickel, a monthly, live-music concert series at the concert pavilion, at Mickel Park (2675 NW 7th Ave.) and hosts its annual classical concert at Hagen Park (2020 Wilton Dr.).

The City's Leisure Services Department collaborates annually with the Piatigorsky Foundation from New York City to provide performers for the annual classical concert. This year's classical concert will be held on Monday, January 25, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Hagen Park and will feature the musical talents of Katharine Dain, a highly praised and experienced soprano, and Jeffrey Grossman, a pianist, who co-leads the acclaimed baroque ensemble "The Sebastians."
The classical concert is free, and refreshments will be served.
The Live Music at Mickel concerts will be held on the third Friday of each month, from January to March 2016, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the concert pavilion in Mickel Park. The series kicks off on Friday, January 15, 2016 with the Ty Billings Band, a local, high-energy, live band who will perform rock and classic rock hits.
"One of the goals of our city is to offer unique programing that encourages a sense of community and the exploration of our public spaces," said Mayor Gary Resnick. "This concert series will offer our residents an opportunity to enjoy this newly renovated park and concert pavilion while socializing with members of their community."

February 19, 2016: Featuring Jam Port Authority performing Rock, Funk and Jazz
March 18, 2016: Featuring Otis Cadillac and the El Dorados performing Classic R&B, Rock & Roll and Blues
All the concerts in the Live Music at Mickel series are free. Food trucks will be hosted on site, and drinks will be available for purchase.
