Cinergy Entertainment to host canned Food Drive across Texas to benefit local pantries

DALLAS, Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Cinergy Entertainment Group announces that they will be hosting a canned food drive at their Midland, Odessa and Copperas Cove locations to benefit the following local pantries: West Texas Food Bank and Food Care Center in Killeen, TX.  Cinergy hopes to collect an abundant amount of canned goods this holiday season to further the mission of these local pantries. To encourage patrons to participate, Cinergy will offer the choice of a free popcorn or a $5 game card in exchange for 2 canned food items.

"We are excited to kick off our canned food drive on November 17^th in conjunction with the opening of Justice League and the Thanksgiving Holiday break," stated Traci Hoey Director of Marketing and Sales. "We want our patrons to come out, have a great time and support a worthy cause by bringing in much needed food items for our local pantries during one of their busiest seasons."

In Texas over 4 million people are struggling with hunger, of which 1.7 million are children. West Texas Food Bank is striving to combat these statistics by partnering with 65 Partner Agencies and servicing 19 counties in west Texas. Food Care Center works hard to address the community needs by distributing an average of 250,000 pounds of food each month.

The drive will take place Friday, November 17^th through Thursday, November 30^th, 2017. Donations can be brought to the Midland location at 1917 Liberty Drive, Midland, Texas, the Odessa location at 8250 E. Highway 191, Odessa, TX, and the Copperas Cove location at 402 Constitution Drive, Copperas Cove, TX.  All non-perishable goods are welcomed. Most critical items include: canned fruit, canned or dried beans, canned tuna, and peanut butter.
