Christophers Announce Webstore Featuring Uplifting Entertainment
Christopher Award-winning films, books and TV programs now available through Amazon Associates store
NEW YORK, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- (http://www.myprgenie.com) -- The Christophers announced today the launch of a new Amazon Associates store, featuring Christopher Award-winning books, films and TV programming for adults, children and families.
Finding quality, uplifting entertainment -- especially the kind that can be shared with the whole family -- can be difficult. To that end, The Christophers have opened a new Amazon Associates store, where shoppers can find Christopher Award-winning content for all ages.
"This shop makes it easy to find outstanding books and films appropriate for young and old alike," said Mary Ellen Robinson, vice-president of The Christophers. "Christopher Award winners run the gamut of subjects, styles and audiences, with one thing in common -- they remind us of our ability to make a positive difference in the world. And since all purchases made through the store benefit The Christophers, it's an easy way for people to support our work at no additional cost to themselves."
The Christopher Awards were established in 1949 by Christophers' founder Father James Keller, M.M., to salute media that "affirm the highest values of the human spirit." Since that time, 1,360 films, books and television programs and their creators have been honored. The 61st annual Christopher Awards will be presented in New York City on April 15, 2010.
The new Amazon Associates store is accessible through The Christophers' website at www.christophers.org. Just click on "amazon.com" on the homepage for a link to recent Christopher-Award winners in the following categories: Books for Adults, Books for Young People, and DVDs of Feature Films and TV & Cable programs. The Christophers will receive a small percentage of all purchases made through the store.
The Christophers, a non-profit organization founded in 1945 by Fr. James Keller, M.M., uses mass media to encourage all individuals to recognize and utilize their God-given abilities to make a positive difference in the world. The Christopher motto is: "It's better to light one candle than to curse the darkness."
