Chinese property developer Country Garden Holdings named as one of BrandZ(TM)'s top 50 Chinese brands
The company leads Chinese real estate industry with its brand value growing 21%
SHUNDE, China, March 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Guangdong province, China-based property developer Country Garden Holdings was once again named as one of the BrandZ™ Top 50 Chinese Brands on March 20, 2017, after being ranked among UK-based Brand Finance's top 200 global brands. The developer was ranked 44th in the 2017 list of the BrandZ™ Top 100 Most Valuable Chinese Brands, moving up four places from last year. The company led the Chinese real estate industry with its brand value growing 21 per cent, 3.5 times more than the average growth of the Top 100 Chinese Brands. Other well-known Chinese brands that made the list include Tencent, Alibaba, China Mobile, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Huawei.
The list was released jointly by the world's largest communication service group WPP and leading global research firm Millward Brown. The brand study used financial data from Bloomberg and Kantar Worldpanel, a division of WPP with expertise in shopper behavior, in combination with feedback from over 400,000 Chinese consumers, which was collected through a survey. As one of the most representative brand valuation methodologies in the world of business, BrandZ evaluates the significance, differentiation and salience of brands by calculating their financial value, brand contribution and brand value. The BrandZ study, which includes survey results from over 2 million consumers analyzing 100,000 brands in 43 countries worldwide, has been highly recognized among business professionals, including analysts, shareholders, investors and CEOs.
As a major player in China's new urbanization process and a developer of world-class, environmentally responsible, smart cities, Country Garden has promoted urban modernization in over 400 cities and towns and is involved in more than 700 projects worldwide. With annual sales exceeding 300 billion yuan (approx. US$45 billion), the company is named in the Forbes Global 500, an annual ranking of the top 500 corporations worldwide as measured by revenue.
