Chefs Announced for Cotes du Coeur International Fine Wine Auction & Celebrity Chef Dinner

DALLAS, Feb. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Sixteen of Dallas' most creative and popular chefs will work their culinary magic April 9 at the Anatole Hotel, preparing unique dishes that will be paired with extraordinary wines during the 20th annual Cotes du Coeur International Fine Wine Auction & Celebrity Chef Dinner benefitting the Dallas Division of the American Heart Association.
The list of chefs and pairings was announced at a recent pre-Gala Cotes du Coeur party. The chefs, recruited by lead Chef Richard Chamberlain, owner of Chamberlain's Steak & Chop House and Chamberlain's Fish Market Grill are: Brad Albers, Eddie V's; Blythe Beck, Central 214; Bruno Davaillon, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek; Mutsuhiro Eguchi, Nobu; Dean Fearing, Fearing's; Kevin Garvin and Anita Hirsch, Neiman Marcus Restaurants; Scott Gottlich, Bijoux; David Holben, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House; Kent Rathbun, Abacus, Jasper's, and Rathbun's Blue Plate Kitchen; Scott Romano; Charlie Palmer at the Joule; Jim Severson, Sevy's Grill; Marcus Strietzel, The Adolphus; Gerard Thompson, Rough Creek Lodge & Resort; and Jay Valley, eatZi's.
Among the chefs' food and wine combinations: Forty-day aged ribeye with parsnip potato puree and smoked garlic sauce paired with cabernets from Gemstone Wineries and Egelhoff Wines; apricot barbecue glazed quail with iceberg wedge and blue cheese dressing paired with a pinot noir from Martinelli Winery and a merlot from J. Bookwater; and lobster grilled cheese and tomato soup with truffled potato chips paired with chardonnays from Dutton-Goldfield Winery and Ceja Vineyards. Cotes du Coeur was founded by members of the medical community 20 years ago as a unique way to support the American Heart Association's fight against heart disease and stroke.
