CGT Recognizes Anheuser-Bush InBev With Customer Management Award Based on Spring Wireless Solution Deployment
SEATTLE, Nov. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- CGT, the Consumer Goods Technology Magazine, announced that Anheuser-Bush InBev has won the Customer Management Award for the implementation of a fully mobile enterprise application platform from Spring Wireless, Inc.
The solution is used for direct store delivery (DSD) activities such as field sales and delivery within select countries in Western Europe. As a result, Anheuser-Busch InBev saw positive cash flow by the third month, and full ROI was achieved in six months.
At its 2010 Business & Technology Leadership Conference in Orlando, Fla., CGT recognized eight other deserving consumer goods companies with prestigious industry awards for effectively evolving their business and technology strategies to match new trends in the market.
For CGT organizers, "In today's challenging business landscape, it is important for consumer goods companies to leverage core capabilities in supply chains, sales and marketing and innovation to maximize growth opportunities. Simply put, you won't succeed by just doing things the way they have been done in the past," says Kara Romanow, CGT's Executive Editor.
"Now, more than ever, mobile solutions are helping several companies across segments to meet the economic challenges facing them today. Spring Wireless has provided mobile-enabled business solutions to some of the most recognizable brands around the globe, such as AB InBev, Nestle, L'Oreal, Unilever, Coca-Cola, among others, allowing them to compete for increased market share, customer satisfaction and profits," says Kelly Malone, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Spring Wireless USA.
In the case of Anheuser-Busch Inbev, Spring Wireless' mobile solution is now supporting the entire process between the warehouse/depots and the point-of-sale, mobilizing the entire work flow, including order dispatching, truck loading, delivery, pick-up, payment, depot return, unloading, stock checking, and data processing. "We have been able to reduce time for product picking and inventory counting by 30% and increase driver productivity by 10% with the elimination of paperwork. Each driver can now make a minimum of one additional stop per day," explains Malone.
