CFMA Press Conference on Disputes on Federal Projects
WASHINGTON, Sept. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is being released by the Construction Financial Management Association:
You are invited to:
The National Press Club
Zenger Room
529 14th Street, NW, 13th Floor
Washington, DC 20045
Entrance: 14th Street near F Street
on Tuesday, September 29th from 10am-11am for the Construction Financial Management Association's (CFMA) presentation of The Release of a Report on an Analysis of Construction Projects with Federal Agencies and the Cause of Disputes.
This report examines the extent to which courts attribute fault to contractors as opposed to government agencies when disputes arise and are adjudicated. Public opinion often concludes that cost overruns and chronic delays are frequently the fault of construction firms. Join us to hear how our findings conflict with that general perception.
Speakers will include the report's author, Anirban Basu, CFMA's Economic Advisor and President of Sage Policy Group, Inc., along with Brad Robinson, CFMA's Chairman, and CFMA President & CEO, Stuart Binstock.
This press conference will coincide with the release of the September 28th issue of the Engineering News Record story on the report. Copies of ENR's September 28th issue, along with copies of the full report, will be available at the event.
CFMA provides invaluable resources and education to its members via the headquarters office and 92 chapters across North America. In cooperation with its affiliate organization, the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals (ICCIFP), CFMA promotes industry best practices and continuing education in support of its mission: To be essential to the growth and success of construction financial professionals.
CFMA looks forward to sharing the results of this ground-breaking study with you.
