Centerplate, Yakima Convention Center Partner To Offer A Fresh Take On Northwest Hospitality
YAKIMA, Wash., July 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, event hospitality partner in over 300 prominent entertainment, sports and convention venues across North America and the United Kingdom, is proud to announce its new role as hospitality partner to the Yakima Convention Center. Centrally located between Seattle and Spokane, the Yakima Convention Center features 41,000 sq. ft. of versatile column free, carpeted meeting space. Together, Centerplate and the Yakima Convention Center staff will offer guests the local and regional flavors and favorites of Eastern Washington, along with a true taste of Pacific Northwest cuisine.
Centerplate's new team in Yakima will feature the talents of Executive Chef Matthew Lecours, as well as several new dining selections that include a Northwest take on fresh, local ingredients. Centerplate's team is also proud to offer a number of local wines, featuring two wineries based in Yakima, one on Naches Heights and five from the Zillah area. Most recently, Executive Chef Lecours worked with Microsoft as their District Chef and was also a Chef for Centerplate at Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners.
