Centerplate Plans Exciting New Menu to Greet Timbers Fans for 2011 Season
Centerplate launches New Menu Concepts, Fan Promotions and Guest Services for JELD-WEN Field.
PORTLAND, Ore., April 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, the largest hospitality partner to North America's premier sports stadiums, convention centers and entertainment venues, announced a series of new menu concepts, fan promotions and service upgrades for the Portland Timbers 2011 season at JELD-WEN Field.

Traditional stadium favorites such as all-beef hotdogs, cheeseburgers, soft pretzels and nachos and cheesesteaks. Notable new items developed specifically for the Portland Timbers season include:
Signature Timber Bacon: Pepper bacon dipped in dark chocolate
Axe Burger: Half beef and half ground bacon patty, topped with fried onions and Tillamook cheddar cheese
Pastie: a savory hand-held meat and veggie pie that is very popular match fare in the UK and Australia
Additional new options include Pho, Pollo Verde, Yakisoba and Carved Sandwiches. There will also be a premium sausage concept featuring Zenner's bacon-cheddar smoked sausage.

As part of the stadium's extensive renovations, Centerplate will increase the number of service locations throughout the stadium. These new service points will provide fans speedier service and more convenient access to the enhanced menu offerings.
To complement its new menu, the company has also initiated a series of enhancements to its service training and experience assurance initiatives. Centerplate's training program, which has been completely revamped and re-launched as Centerplate University, focuses on the principles and behaviors of gracious guest service to provide an even better fan experience.
