Centerplate Kicks off the 2011 Crimson Tide Season with New Menu Concepts, Promotions, and Guest Services for the University of Alabama
TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Sept. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, the leading hospitality partner to North America's premier sports stadiums, convention centers and entertainment venues, including the University of Alabama, announced a series of new menu concepts, service improvements and special fan promotions for the 2011 Crimson Tide Football season at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Menu Highlights
Fans will have several new and signature menu items to enjoy this season including:
Sour Cotton Candy- A "Sweet-Tart" treat for the kids and adults
Italian Meatball Sub- A submarine sandwich consisting of a long roll of Italian bread filled with meatballs, marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella cheese and seasonings
Frozen Icee Drinks- A cool refreshing frozen drink with flavors including Coca-Cola and Wild Cherry
Chick-Fil-A- A quick serve restaurant serving sandwiches, Waffle Fries, and Fresh-made Brownies
Fresh Popped Popcorn- A portable cart that will serve "Popped" Popcorn, and will allow customer to "Top" their own popcorn
Fan Appreciation and Special Promotions
Centerplate has introduced a series of fan appreciation promotions that will run on twitter, @BamaSportsStore, for merchandise and during the week leading up to the game, Crimson Tide fans will receive discounts and pre-game special pricing on select merchandise on twitter.
Guest Services Enhancements
Centerplate also added additional Bama Cash Readers for the student section. Centerplate has added a Grill Cart location to Mezzanine level to enhance fan convenience and speed of service. Centerplate has increased the number of "hawkers" for fan convenience.
In addition, to complement its culinary offerings, the company has also initiated a series of enhancements to its service training and experience assurance initiatives. Centerplate's training program, Centerplate University, is based on a series of training sessions that provides our service team the foundation to succeed. In addition to functional training, the program includes a significant focus on food safety, responsible service of alcohol, and the principles and behaviors of gracious guest service for a better fan experience.
