Centerplate Brews Up Top-shelf Hospitality For The 2012 Great American Beer Festival
CROWD FAVORITE: LOCAL DENVER SAUSAGE SIMMERED IN CENTERPLATE'S OWN CRAFT ALE
DENVER, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Centerplate, America's leading Event Hospitality partner to the country's top stadiums, entertainment venues and convention centers, is tapping a finely "crafted" hospitality program for the 2012 Great American Beer Festival, held October 11th-13th at the Colorado Convention Center. As the proud hospitality partner to the Colorado Convention Center, Centerplate will host, feed and delight more than 40,000 craft beer aficionados as they descend on Denver, Colorado for the country's largest beer festival.
Far beyond the festival's traditional pretzel necklaces, Centerplate will offer guests a menu that features a true taste of the Rocky Mountains, plus dishes created specifically for this passionate, beer-loving crowd. In the spirit of the nation's top beer competition, Centerplate will even feature its own brewing chops, by incorporating a craft lager from Centerplate's John Harvard's Brewery and Ale House in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The menu includes:
- The Great American Beer Brat: Local Denver Bratwurst from Continental Sausage made with craft High 'N' Rye Lager from John Harvard's Brewery and Ale House.
- 3,000 Pretzel Necklaces: built fresh in-house
- New Belgium 1554 Black Ale Brat: Continental Beer Brat from a local sustainable brewery, Fort Collins
- New Brew Pub Pavilion- featuring Colorado grass-feed beef sliders, local sustainable salty cured meat and cheese antipasto
"Taking a loved Denver favorite from our incredible partners at Continental Sausage, and combining it with the creativity and craft of Centerplate's own John Harvard's ale -- this is the perfect example of how our Centerplate team creates event hospitality plans that bring local flavors to life, and fit perfectly with specific events," says Todd A. Moore, Centerplate's General Manager at the Colorado Convention Center.
Some of the dishes prepared by Centerplate's team at the Great American Beer Festival will feature herbs and produce actually grown and harvested on-site at Centerplate's "Blue Bear Farm" at the Colorado Convention Center. To serve the anticipated crowd of more than over 40,000 attendees, Centerplate will operate a dozen hospitality stations, employing more then 500 staff members over the three-day festival.
Working hand in hand with the Great American Beer Festival, Centerplate is proud to support the Colorado economy by doing its part to keep the event strong and successful. Both the Great American Beer Festival and the craft brewing industry as a whole have proven to be massive economic drivers: the GABF produces a yearly boost of almost 3 million dollars for the Denver economy, while the craft brewing industry supplies more than 4,000 jobs state-wide.
