Celebrate National Burger Month With Tandoor Chef and Go Vegetarian
UNION, N.J., May 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- With Americans collectively eating more than 39 million hamburgers every day, it's no wonder this American favorite has gained its own national holidays. May is National Burger Month. Still, with America's conscious efforts to eat better and healthier, while adding new and unique flavors to their plates, the key is to keep the variety and new flavor profiles alive.
Freezer doors in groceries across America are offering new alternatives to the tried and true burger, in a quest to meet these consumer demands. As a result, brands such as Tandoor Chef are leading the way with their unique use of exotic spices. The Vegetable Masala Burger is just one of several new gateways to enjoying an ethnic twist to the average hamburger.
Still, there are also many benefits associated with eating a veggie burger over a standard all-beef hamburger. Vegetarian burgers are lower in fat, lower in calories, and reduce the risk of E. coli infection. If you're concerned about colon cancer, not only is a veggie burger higher in fiber, but they contain no red meat which has been correlated with colon cancer risk in some studies. While red meat is devoid of fiber, most veggie burgers will give you around three to five grams of heart healthy fiber in a single serving.
"Everyone deserves to enjoy the deliciousness of a good burger hot off the grill," explains Mike Ryan, VP Sales & Marketing, Tandoor Chef. "Adding an exotic twist to the tradition of the All-American burger in a healthy way is a great way to celebrate. We bring the flavor and visual appeal to the grill with an amazingly beautiful burger."
It is likely that many Americans will celebrate National Hamburger Month by personalizing their own burger with freezer aisle options like Tandoor Chef's Vegetable Masala Burger, which attests to restaurant quality, as well as all natural ingredients in four varieties.
