CCNET Selects IO Data Center as a Service to Deliver Secure, High Availability Solutions
CCNET Seeks to Lower Data Center Costs, Improve Performance with IO
PHOENIX, Oct. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- IO, a global leader in software-defined data centers, today announced the company was awarded a contract by CCNET to support its high availability managed hosting solutions and services.
CCNET will use IO Data Center as a Service (DCaaS) delivered out of IO New Jersey to provide its reliable, secure and customizable solutions ranging from virtual, private and dedicated cloud services to fully managed enterprise servers. With more than 831,000 square feet of space available, IO New Jersey is the largest data center in the New York City metro area and has been awarded Tier III Design Certification from the Uptime Institute.
"IO DCaaS provides us the ability to elastically scale our IT environment, thus having the flexibility to dial up or down capacity as needed," said Christian Barbu Nicholas, CTO at CCNET. "It hits the sweet spot in return on investment, helping us deliver advanced yet extremely price-competitive managed services and managed hosting solutions."
IO's global DCaaS offering is driven by the IO Intelligent Control platform, consisting of standardized, UL-listed IO.Anywhere® modules that are controlled by the IO.OS data center operating system, software designed to provide unprecedented visibility and the rich data necessary to derive actionable intelligence from digital infrastructure operations. IO Intelligent Control was created to deliver superior business agility, energy efficiency, physical and logical security, and reliability than competitive offerings, while lowering cost associated with data center deployment and operation.
"All our managed services clients have different business requirements. With IO, we can create sophisticated, customized solutions for each client that address high availability requirements. Also, IO's compartmentalized design enables us to segment clients with robust security – completely eliminating any risk of noisy neighbor syndrome," said Mr. Nicholas.
"Data Center 2.0 maps well to CCNET's focus on providing high availability systems and solutions," said Peter McNamara, Executive Leader, Global Sales and Customer Operations, IO. "DCaaS allows CCNET to achieve cost, energy and operational benefits from IO hardware and software, with minimal capital expenditures, 100% uptime service level agreement, and the ability to stay focused on their core business."
IO.DCaaS provides customers the agility to deploy data center capacity quickly that is delivered at secure, reliable locations, which have multiple layers of protection, and are backed with a 100 percent uptime SLA. It offers flexible deployment options, from a single cabinet in a shared environment to dedicated modules and infrastructure. IO provides carrier-neutral data centers with a choice of multiple telecommunications carriers, and no monthly fee for cross connects.
