POMONA, Calif., Feb. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation, a leading rehabilitation hospital and specialized healthcare service provider, is pleased to announce that it has changed its name to Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare. The new name better reflects the breadth of its current and projected services as it continues its position as a regional Center of Excellence in medical and rehabilitation services in its community and the healthcare industry.
"Casa Colina has been highly regarded for its broad range of rehabilitative services for more than 75 years. Now we've reached a new milestone," said Felice L. Loverso, PhD., president and CEO of Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare. "Our new name reflects Casa Colina's expanding continuum of care as well as the many types of healthcare services we provide today. Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare is a unique place, designed to provide an optimal environment to regain physical and cognitive function and reclaim the ability to live life to one's fullest potential."
Casa Colina's name change is due in part to its 31-bed medical/surgical hospital currently under construction adjacent to its acute rehabilitation unit. The new facility will provide a new opportunity to meet the specialized surgical and medical needs of individuals in its own community. The new 38,220-square-foot hospital will offer six surgical intensive care unit beds; 25 private medical/surgical beds with full telemetry and patient lift systems; three surgical suites featuring minimally invasive surgical equipment; a gastroenterology procedure room, and much more.
The Casa Colina name change and scheduled new facilities align with its vision to lead and continuously redefine a patient-centered approach for those requiring highly specialized, medically driven levels of care.
