OMAHA, Neb., Jan. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Carson Group, a family of companies committed to being the most trusted for financial advice and guidance via service to both advisors and investors, announced it has hired retirement planning expert Jamie Hopkins as the Vice President of Private Client Services and Director of Retirement Research.
Carson Group added Mr. Hopkins to further develop a research-focused arm of the organization focused on retirement planning to support advisor firms with investor-focused seminars, webinars, articles, and other thought leadership. As the Director of Retirement Research, he will continue to be an additional resource to partner firms and the consumers they serve.
Prior to joining Carson Group, Jamie Hopkins was an associate professor of taxation at The American College of Financial Services in the Retirement Income program and served as director of the New York Life Center for Retirement Income. He also held the Larry R. Pike Chair in Insurance and Investments at The American College. As a professor at the College, Mr. Hopkins taught courses in retirement, estate planning, and life insurance. Through his role at The American College, he educated thousands of financial service professionals and helped move the needle for retirement income planning.

He brings extensive experience to the team, as he helped create and develop the Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®) designation at The American College of Financial Services, which has over 6,000 graduates since its inception in 2012, and over 12,000 financial advisors currently enrolled in the program.
