COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- car2go North America LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler North America Corporation, has expanded its pioneering point-to-point carsharing network in Columbus, Ohio, to include The Ohio State University campus. This unique partnership will provide students, faculty, staff and visitors the ability to park at 10 different parking locations across campus, with access to 45 designated spaces beginning Monday, November 25. car2go will launch an education and awareness campaign around campus so students, faculty, staff and visitors can learn more about the many benefits of one-way carsharing.

Last month, car2go began offering service in Columbus within a 30 square mile Home Area. car2go then partnered with CampusParc, Ohio State's parking operator, to expand its Home Area to include the campus. Students, faculty, staff and visitors will have the ability to use car2go's unique one-way carsharing model to get to-and-from campus, run errands, visit friends and experience all that the city of Columbus has to offer.

Parking locations will be clearly signed and will be located in approximately 10 surface parking areas around campus including the south residential district, Wexner Medical Center area, south campus and central campus to offer convenience for faculty, staff, students and visitors across campus.
