"I'm thrilled to be hosting the first ever International Can-It-Forward Day webcast teaching thousands of consumers how to preserve the best, fresh and local produce from their farmers markets, CSAs or home gardens," said Hugh Acheson, International Can-It-Forward Day celebrity host. "Canning allows people to easily create healthy, delicious dishes with regionally-grown foods year round and I love showing people how easy it is to make pickles, chutneys, sauces and more each summer with the best, fresh produce."
Chef Acheson will showcase how to make a variety of delicious, seasonal recipes including his signature canning recipe, Dilly Tomatoes, at the farmers market at Brooklyn Borough Hall on August 16 from 10:00am - 2:00pm EST answering audience questions from both the onsite crowd and webcast audience on FreshPreserving.com.
