(NYSE: CHH), one of the world's largest hotel companies, in partnership with developer Murphy Asset Management and management company Crescent Hotels & Resorts, announced today the opening of the Cambria Chicago Loop - Theatre District. This is the brand's second property in Chicago. The Magnificent Mile hotel opened in November 2016.
The 22-story, 199-room Cambria Chicago Loop - Theatre District, located at 32 W. Randolph St., is situated above the historic Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre. As an adaptive reuse project, Cambria is repurposing the offices located above the theatre, matching the landmark status of the building with the aesthetic of the hotel.
The property is also in the center of the Chicago Loop, an energetic business district, and home to a number of Fortune 500 company headquarters, like Boeing, Archer Daniels Midland, United Continental Holdings, and the Exelon Corporation. Block Thirty Seven, a group of high-end restaurants and local retail outlets, is also located directly across the street from the hotel.
