Cambio Adds HuffPost Teen, Meez and Teen Ink to the Cambio Network
Deals Will Position the Cambio Network as the #2 U.S. comScore Ranked Teen Platform—an Important Segment of the Network's Broader Millennial Target
LOS ANGELES, April 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Cambio, a leading online entertainment platform for teens and young adults, today announced the addition of three new partners, HuffPost Teen, Meez and Teen Ink to the Cambio Network. With an aggregated audience of more than 12.5 million monthly unique visitors worldwide, according to comScore figures, the Cambio Network enables advertisers to reach a mass audience in a highly targeted, immersive experience. By limiting the network to a select group of best-in-class sites, the Cambio Network also provides the highest level of transparency and accountability to brand partners such as AT&T.
HuffPost Teen, Meez and Teen Ink join Cambio and Wetpaint Entertainment as members of the Cambio Network where, in addition to enabling brands to achieve extensive reach, the partner sites within the network practice a high level of collaboration. All five member sites will share content as well as proprietary business and audience growth strategies.
"Cambio has its finger on the pulse of teens and young adults around the country, knowing what are their interests, behaviors, spending habits and personalities," said Nathan Coyle, general manager, Cambio. "By adding these truly exceptional sites to our network, we have the ability to deliver mass reach on a limited number of platforms, offering advertisers an unmatched level of transparency and control."
This expansion of the Cambio Network continues the momentum behind Cambio.com's own organic growth. Since the launch of Cambio 2.0 in September 2011, the site has more than doubled its audience. The growth was driven in part by the company's search engine optimization and social media strategies, as well as the compelling mix of premium video programming, including the award winning Web series "Aim High" and "CliffsNotes Films."
HuffPost Teen is the go-to platform for young people to talk about the issues that matter most to them -- not just academically but also socially and culturally. HuffPost Teen is written primarily by its readers -- young people who want to share their passions, their experiences, and their stories.
"We've had tremendous success in delivering a compelling social entertainment experience and Cambio – and its partner AOL - are ideally positioned to offer premium, relevant advertising to our audience," said John Cahill, CEO, Meez. "Our predominantly U.S. audience is highly engaged, spending an average of over three hours per month per visitor, and is a direct match for the Cambio Network."
Meez provides users the ability to create virtual worlds directly on the site, providing a social outlet for networking, gaming, rich multimedia sharing and more through its state of the art technology and is consistently ranked as a top 20 U.S. Internet site measured by engagement. In July 2011, comScore/MediaMetrix ranked Meez.com as #15 overall on the Internet for user engagement with time spent of over 145 minutes per visitor.
"Teen Ink provides the Cambio Network with the largest site devoted entirely to teen-generated content," said John Meyer, president, Teen Ink. "This new relationship will bring new resources to our teen participants and allow more advertisers to take advantage of our unique, dedicated audience."
For more than 23 years, Teen Ink has been a leader in publishing fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, photography and video written entirely by teens. The Teen Ink Website allows teens to comment on others work, rate each article, offer peer review, participate in live chat and much more. In addition, Teen Ink publishes a monthly print magazine with the same content and the magazine is distributed in schools nationwide.
