LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The three law firms heading up the class action lawsuit against CalPERS have announced the launching of a new website to help people learn more about the case.

The website is http://www.calpersclassactionlawsuit.com and the site contains useful information regarding the lawsuit, the firms involved and more.

The lawsuit accuses CalPERS of misleading over 100,000 retirees over the last 18 years by selling them long term insurance that was underfunded and under duress for a decade. As a result of this underfunding, CalPERS is raising rates in spite of repeated promises to the contrary and some policy holders will see their rates go up as much as 1000% over the life of the policy. The Los Angeles Times, Sacramento Bee and CBS news all reported on the story.
