Austin Expansion
In addition to these new hires, 12 new employees have joined the US operations since April 2017; with growth plans for the US to include filing seven new positions that span marketing, sales, and customer support / service. Brightpearl will participate in Built In Austin's Top Companies Hiring Event, July 19, 5:30-7:30pm, The Belmont, 305 W 6th Street, Austin, to build awareness for the company, its growth plans, and focus on recruiting local talent.
Having outgrown its original Austin-based headquarters location in just three months, Brightpearl relocated its US office to TechSpace, 98 San Jacinto Boulevard – also known as the CBD or downtown Austin on the north bank of the Colorado River. The new headquarters, which is nearly double the original space, is on the 4th floor and provides a more permanent residence with room for additional growth. "Austin, a boomtown of technology, is recognized as one of the fastest growing cities in the US. Its vibrant technology sector is often considered Texas's answer to Silicon Valley," said Justin Press, Vice President of Customer Success, and Brightpearl USA. "Capital Factory provided a great start to our foundation in Austin. Our US success and our expansion, which mirrors that of the technology scene that is rapidly growing here in Austin, has already moved us onto our own offices."
Brightpearl has an exceptional team of technologists and retail industry experts to which these new leadership additions bring nearly 25 years of extensive operational experience in international technology businesses, and 10 years of strategic business development and customer account management. Brightpearl is on track to meet its plans to add strategic positions across marketing, business development, consultancy, pre-sales, and leadership in the Austin office, and to establish an automation innovation team based in Austin in the second half of 2017.
Press said, "Our Austin-based US headquarters affords us the opportunity to tap the immense technology talent that thrives here – whether it is making new employee hires or building even stronger relationships with key technology partners. We continue to look for opportunities to work more effectively with our customers to help them evolve their operations using leading edge retail technology solutions, gain operational efficiency, and establish strong profit margins."
