LOS ANGELES, July 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- As a company with a culture of giving, Brighton is extending an invitation to join them in their latest charitable initiative, the Handbag Trade-in. This is their 16th annual drive to collect and deliver gently used handbags to women in need. The goal of this year's 10-day event is to collect 10,000 handbags to be donated to charities that empower women and their families.
Nearly every woman has handbags that she no longer carries, so Brighton is asking women to look into their closets and gather up the bags they no longer use. As Brighton's owner and founder Jerry Kohl explains, "The simple gift of a handbag can do so much to lift a woman's spirits and it will also help her to look professional when she is interviewing for a much-needed job." When women bring their handbags to a participating Brighton Collectibles store between July 17th and 26th, 2015, they will also receive $25 to $50 off a brand new Brighton bag.
Any manufacturer's handbag can be donated to qualify for the savings. With a purchase of $100-$150, there is a $25 bonus; with a purchase of $151 or more, the bonus is $50. To find a participating Brighton Collectibles store near you, visit http://www.brighton.com.
For 40 years, Brighton has focused on custom design and craftsmanship, creating timeless accessories from the finest leathers. They have always believed in giving back to the communities surrounding their 193 stores and they are grateful to their loyal customers who participate and help them as they strive to continue making a positive difference in communities throughout the U.S.
