Bright House Networks Business Solutions In-Room Set Back Box Delivers "Just Like Home" Experience to Hotel Guests
Product Introduced to Additional Hospitality Properties Throughout Florida
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Bright House Networks Business Solutions' Set Back Box (SBB) delivers a "just like home" experience for hotel guests while they are in their rooms. The Set Back Box, which provides more than 70 High Definition (HD) channels, free Video on Demand (VOD), and an interactive programming guide, is gaining traction throughout the hospitality market in Orlando and Tampa, which rank as two of the top tourist destinations nationally.
"Our innovative Set Back Box makes it easy for our hospitality customers to provide great service to their guests," said Craig Cowden, senior vice president, Network Engineering, Operations and Enterprise Solutions, Bright House Networks. "We are pleased that our customized products and services are able to help more properties throughout the Orlando and Tampa areas enhance their guests' TV viewing experience with more HD channels and an interactive channel guide.
Bright House Networks' Set Back Box (SBB), which was initially launched by Bright House Networks in late 2012, conveniently mounts to the back of a television and provides a co-branded interactive menu similar to what guests are used to in their homes. The SBB features over 70 HD channels, including ESPN, CNN, Discovery, HBO and 25 free VOD channels. The SBB encrypts and decrypts premium channels such as HBO and Showtime, so that hotels no longer need Pro:Idiom televisions to receive premium channel services. It also provides hotels the ability to create custom channels for their own programming and information, as well as the ability to manage programming and parental controls through a management portal.
"We are thrilled to begin offering our guests Bright House Networks' advanced hospitality solutions, including their Set Back Box technology," said Rehana Mohamed, general manager at Holiday Inn Express Melbourne. "We can now help guests feel a little more at home while traveling by giving them the same comfortable and easy TV experience." Bright House Networks recently signed an agreement to provide hospitality solutions, including the SBB, to the Holiday Inn Express properties in Melbourne and Clermont, Florida.
