ATLANTA, Oct. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- During the back to school time, Boys & Girls Clubs of America focuses on helping kids and teens start off the academic year equipped with the tools and resources they need to succeed. As part of the youth organization's Back2School cause campaign, they launched the 'Stuff the Bus' challenge to encourage corporate partners to donate school supplies for the kids who need them most. At the end of the challenge, three Boys & Girls Clubs were awarded new vehicles, loaded with school supplies to help them start off the year prepared and ready to learn.
As kids and teens headed back to school in August and September, youth in the greater Houston area faced different challenges after the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Boys & Girls Clubs of America donated the 'Stuff the Bus' vehicles, three new Toyota Sienna minivans, to Boys & Girls Clubs of El Campo, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Salvation Army of Texas and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston as part of the rebuilding process, thanks to support from Toyota.
In addition, thousands of kids and teens across the country received notebooks, backpacks, calculators and other supplies to help them start-off the school year prepared and ready to achieve success.

During the Back2School promotion, numerous partners supported this effort, donating school supplies, galvanizing their employees to volunteer with local Clubs and engaging the public to participate in the cause campaign including Bridgestone Retail Operations, Buffalo Wild Wings, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Comcast NBCUniversal, Family Dollar, Friendly's Restaurants, GAP, Kids Foot Locker, Kohl's, Lowe's, Old Navy and Toyota. Additionally, Gold Toe and Pilot Pen donated needed supplies to select Clubs in the Texas area.
