Bouncing Into Motown: Detroit's #1 Rated WXYZ-TV To Launch Bounce TV
ATLANTA, July 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bounce TV (http://bouncetv.com), continuing its rapid growth around the country, today announced that WXYZ-TV in Detroit will add the first-ever over-the-air broadcast television network for African Americans. This marks Bounce TV's first agreement with the E.W. Scripps Television Station Group, owners of WXYZ-TV.
WXYZ-TV, one of the leading ABC affiliates in the U.S. and Detroit's #1 rated television station, serves the nine-county Detroit market area reaching more than 1.9 million homes each week. The addition of WXYZ-TV drives Bounce TV past 75% penetration of African American television homes and to nearly 55% of the total U.S.

Bounce TV now has affiliation agreements with E.W. Scripps, FOX Television Stations, Lenfest, Meredith, Weigel, Gannett, Belo Corp., Nexstar Communications, LIN TV Corp. and Raycom Media among others. Bounce TV was launched recently in Dallas, New York, Los Angeles and Baltimore and is also available in Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Houston, Washington D.C., Cleveland/Akron, Milwaukee, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Hartford/New Haven, Norfolk, Dayton, West Palm Beach, Birmingham, Memphis, Louisville and Richmond, VA.
Bounce TV airs twenty four hours a day, seven days a week on the digital signals of local television stations. Bounce TV targets African Americans primarily between the ages of 25-54 with a programming mix of theatrical motion pictures, live sports, documentaries, specials, inspirational faith-based programs, off-net series and now original series.
