"Partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a natural fit for Borders," said Mike Edwards, CEO of Borders, Inc. "Our Rewards program allows us to communicate with millions of customers on a weekly basis. Considering that many of our customers are women, this is a powerful tool to not only draw awareness to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but to also give our customers the opportunity to join us in supporting research grants and community outreach programs."
All products are featured on a special table at the front of all Borders superstores. The company has also created a special bookmark, which it is providing to customers in-stores to commemorate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Borders Rewards members will receive e-mails throughout the month of October inviting them to purchase these items to help in the fight against breast cancer.
