The partnership will center on Design My Room, one of Wish Upon a Teen's unique initiatives. The mission of the program is to create a comfortable, relaxed environment in the hospital room of a teen undergoing a long-term hospitalization. The program focuses on teenagers contending with a serious medical diagnosis that require lengthy hospital stays. Design My Room combats the negative impact these long-term hospitalizations can have on a teenager's self-esteem as well as the impact on their family members by working to make a hospital room feel more like home.
"We are extremely proud of this partnership between BodyPartChart and Wish Upon A Teen and the impact it will have on teens undergoing long-term hospitalization," says Andrew Luckoff, Vice President -- Sales and Business Development, BodyPartChart. "Our Fathead-powered technology, quality and product attributes make a perfect decor solution for teen's rooms during their stay, but our greatest wish is for them to take their movable, reusable Fatheads home with them when they leave the hospital fully recovered!"
Thanks to partnerships with various hospital systems, Wish Upon a Teen is allowed access to decorate the hospital rooms with Fatheads that follow a decorative theme selected by the teenager, ranging from animals to movies to sports.
"We have seen firsthand the reaction to Fatheads when a teen and family see them in their hospital room," says Michelle Soto, President and Founder of Wish Upon a Teen. "Now that BodyPartChart and Wish Upon a Teen have forged a partnership, we can reach and help even more teens during this very crucial time in their recovery and rehabilitation in such a touching way. Together we can make a huge impact."
