WILTON, Conn., Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Just over one month into the 2015 Home 4 The Holidays program, Blue Buffalo and the Helen Woodward Animal Shelter are off to a successful start giving dogs and cats a second chance at a loving home this holiday season. With 300,000 pets already adopted, the annual Home 4 The Holidays program is well on the way to helping find forever homes with a goal of a total of 1,000,000 pets adopted by year end.
"Every animal deserves a loving home and we couldn't ask for a more dedicated partner than the Helen Woodward Animal Center for helping us achieve this incredible goal," said David Petrie, Vice President of Blue Buffalo. "With so many homeless pets across the country we're able to make a real, lasting impact on the number of shelter animals and bring countless hours of unconditional love to the families that choose to adopt," Petrie continued.
Since their partnership Blue Buffalo and the Helen Woodward Animal Shelter, working with over 4,000 rescue organizations, have been responsible for the adoption of more than 2,700,000 pets to date.
