WILMINGTON, N.C., July 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Dedicated to providing schools and youth sports organizations across the country with alternative, healthy fundraising solutions, Bloom is launching its second savings card program developed in partnership with Education.com, the nation's leading online education destination for teachers and parents of students Pre-K through 5th grade. According to the National School Supply Association, teachers pay an estimated $1.6 billion nationwide on their own classrooms, with approximately 85% of educators putting their money towards purchasing instructional materials. In wanting to help schools raise money and ease the financial burdens on teachers by providing free instructional content, Bloom developed the E-Pass.
In addition to profits earned from the 50% fundraiser, when schools run the E-Pass program and hit specific sales goals, they can earn free subscriptions to Education.com's award-winning online platform for every teacher. For every 500 E-Passes sold, a school will raise $5,000 and 10 teachers will receive an Education.com Pro account for one year, a value worth more than $700 additional dollars.
"We understand the challenges schools and teachers face when it comes to raising funds for quality supplemental learning materials that provide students with exceptional learning opportunities, which is why we've created an innovative program that aims to solve both of these dilemmas," said Ryan Hedspeth, President of Bloom.
Education.com empowers educators to teach by providing high quality resources for the home, school, and everywhere in-between. Each Education.com account comes with access to printable and digital resources, including the company's award-winning digital learning program, 30,000 worksheets, lesson plans, hands-on activities, science projects, workbooks and activity books.
"Education.com is passionate about supporting teachers as they help their students build essential skills and excel in school and beyond, and we look forward to participating in Bloom's fundraising program by contributing our expert-created resources, tools, and learning materials," said Todd Schwartz, co-CEO of Education.com.
The E-Pass plastic savings card features eight direct deals from companies like The Bouqs, Fabletics, Thrive Market, Synergy Organic Clothing and PACT Apparel, and Education.com's content is gifted to qualifying schools on behalf of these featured companies.
Cards also have a unique code that provides access to a 6-month subscription to Bloom Bonus Rewards, an exclusive online shopping portal with premium discounts on a rotating selection of merchandise from name brands. The offers and technology were originally developed as a loyalty and incentive platform for Global 100 companies but will be featured in the fundraising industry for the first time through an exclusive partnership with Bloom.
