James Peutherer has been appointed as Director of Sales for Asia-Pacific based in Sydney, while Ann Furlong has been appointed as Director of Operations for Asia-Pacific based in Melbourne. Both appointees have more than 15 years of industry experience and were previously focused on the execution of BlackLine Systems' regional sales, operations and business development in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). In the immediate future, Peutherer and Furlong will focus on building out a local team to propel the company's ANZ sales, marketing and operations efforts.
Peutherer joined BlackLine Systems five years ago and was initially responsible for developing the company's business in the Northeast region of the United States before he relocated to Sydney a year later. He previously served at Pinnacle Group Worldwide where he focused on enterprise-wide business performance management and business intelligence solutions.
Furlong joined BlackLine Systems in 2011. Previously, she worked at BlackLine client Tabcorp Holdings, where she was responsible for implementing the BlackLine application across the organisation. While at Tabcorp, Furlong also focused on process improvement within the organisation's Shared Services environment. Prior to moving to Australia in 2007, Furlong lived in the UK working for US-based companies where she was responsible for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and APAC regional accounting functions. She is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
BlackLine Systems has more than 12,000 users across Asia-Pacific with more than 5,000 users in Australia and New Zealand alone, including, Boral, Bunnings, Coles, CSL, Downer EDI, Evolution Mining, Kimberly-Clark, Linfox, Optus, Tabcorp, Qantas, QBE Australia and Wesley Mission.
"BlackLine Systems has experienced robust growth and demand for our solutions across the globe and continues to flourish. In order to continue to support ongoing demand and innovation, we are committed to building out a team in APAC with unmatched experience and talent. Both Ann and James have a proven track record in customer growth and service excellence and their experience will be instrumental for our growth in Australia and New Zealand in the near-term, and across APAC down the line," said Dominick DiPaolo, VP of Global Sales, BlackLine Systems.
