BioSurplus Hires Top Service Engineer, Roswell Pund

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BioSurplus announced today that it has hired service veteran Roswell Pund as a senior service engineer.  With over 25 years of experience, Pund will help the company to expand its rapidly-growing services division, which includes preventive and corrective work for a wide variety of research instruments.

While at Thermo Scientific, Pund served as Technical Site Manager and Service Engineer at Biogen Idec's San Diego campus, where he managed over 1000 laboratory instruments.  He personally performed preventive and corrective work on most of the HPLCs, LCMSs, GCMSs and FPLCs on the site.  Over his career he has gained expertise in a wide range of laboratory equipment including mass spec and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometry.

Prior to Thermo Scientific, he managed the neutron generator laboratory at San Diego State University, where he was adjunct professor of Physics.  Pund was also Senior Irradiator Systems Engineer at Nicolet Imaging Systems, and has worked at Pfizer, Sterigenics International, Ion Beam Applications, and General Atomics.
