Session to profile five unique customer payment challenges utilities face and how technology and multiple payment channels improve collection results
PHOENIX, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- BillingTree, Inc, one of the nation's leading on-demand payment processors, announced today its Director of Sales, Chad Probst, will be presenting on September 23 during the American Gas Association Uncollectibles Workshop. The conference, now in its 7th year, is traditionally attended by credit and collections managers from utilities across the nation.
Mr. Probst's presentation will highlight unique customer payment challenges utilities encounter every day, and how technology can improve the likelihood of settlement. Profiles to be examined include new customer – friend or foe, in arrears customer facing service interruption, bad check writing customer, relocated with a balance remaining customer, and several more. Payment channels and technology applying to each challenge, including virtual debt negotiation, interactive voice response, electronic cash payments, skip tracing and EBPP will be reviewed.
"Utilities are often required to extend credit, in the way of service, to customers with multiple financial challenges," commented Mr. Probst. "This presentation will address many of the common non-payment scenarios utility service providers encounter and offer solutions to help improve collections for each."
