American Classic is providing every member of zMotion's Pro 1/2 Race Team with Carbon 58 Tubulars. The wheels, which are designed to be light, stiff and aerodynamic, are especially fast for road racing.
"The goal of American Classic is to help make our customers' cycling dreams come true by being a leader in the cycling industry," says American Classic General Manager Ellen Kast. "We couldn't be happier to sponsor fellow industry leader Team zMotion, especially because of what this group gives back to its community."
Since its inception, zMotion has participated in countless charitable rides throughout South Florida. zMotion is now involved with several philanthropic organizations, including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Hospice for Life, Kids in Distress and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. Year-to-date, zMotion has raised more than $1.2 million for these and other causes.
zMotion is involved in numerous cycling advocacy efforts, most notably its "Ride Right, Drive Right" campaign. "Ride Right, Drive Right" is zMotion's campaign to educate both motorists and cyclists about the need to share the roadways. The campaign's goal is to save lives by building awareness. It has several components, one of which involves working with the Florida Department of Transportation to design and implement a road sign program.
zMotion's Pro 1/2 Race Team is led by team captain Grant Potter. Overall, zMotion's racing team is comprised of approximately 30 members, including Pro 1/2, Masters 35+, Masters 45+ and a Women's Team. Team zMotion competes professionally in statewide races in all major categories.
