Last year's inaugural event at Beverly Center in partnership with the City of L.A. and the Mayor's Office of Economic and Business Policy marked a milestone collaboration of civic and corporate participation that brought out Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa, Vogue Magazine's Senior West Coast Editor Lisa Love and the music industry's most in demand performer and Grammy Award-Winning Singer of The Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.am. Celebrities that made Beverly Center their fashion destination for FNO 2010 included hosts Ellen K, Perez Hilton, Sara Rue and Stephanie Pratt, as well as Anjelica Huston, Mena Suvari and Kyle Richards. Designers Randolph Duke, Nony Tochterman, Kevan Hall, Rami Kashou and celebrity stylists Marcellas Reynolds and Salvatore Perez also showed their support.
Beverly Center experienced an unprecedented response to their FNO 2010 program that included a high-profile, large scale fashion show extravaganza, designer showcases, in store promotions and customer incentives, celebrity and designer personal appearances, entertainment, and free parking. More than 25,000 people came out to attend the star-studded fashion event of the night (the largest in the City) in the iconic shopping center's Center Court and throughout the Center's more than 80 participating stores.
Fashion's Night Out (FNO) is an unprecedented global initiative created to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and boost the industry's economy. In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York. On September 8, 2011, Fashion's Night Out will return to New York City and cities nationwide to put the fun back in shopping, with designer appearances, live windows, celebrity guests, and other special events.
