BetterWorks Adds Former Box and Oracle Sales Exec as New Head of Revenue
Reaches 100 customer milestone and continues rapid platform growth with new Slack, JIRA and SuccessFactors integrations
PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- BetterWorks™, a leader in enterprise goal setting and management, today announced Jim Priestley, former sales leader at Oracle, SAP and most recently Box, has joined as the new Head of Revenue. Priestley will help BetterWorks continue its rapid growth – now with more than 100 enterprise customers and 125,000 goals in the platform. The company also released new integrations with Slack, JIRA and SuccessFactors to help customers update and view goal progress wherever work is taking place.
BetterWorks provides high-performing companies like GoPro, Vox Media and NerdWallet with the easiest way to set and manage goals, helping enterprises get aligned, stay focused and ultimately succeed. As Head of Revenue, Priestley will be responsible for all sales and business development activities to expand the company's growth and extend the platform to more Fortune 500 customers and technology partners.
"Jim has an impressive track record and unmatched knowledge of effectively selling to the enterprise market," said Kris Duggan, Co-founder and CEO of BetterWorks. "He understands the challenges that enterprise leaders are dealing with, as well as the opportunity we have to help them manage goal setting at scale. Jim will help us take advantage of our market leadership and we're thrilled that he's joined the BetterWorks team."
Three new platform integrations, available today to current BetterWorks customers, help companies capture progress on the work being done throughout an organization automatically, and view critical data in the context of individual, team and company goals:
- Receive goal and progress updates in Slack – The new Slack integration sends BetterWorks updates, such as cheers, nudges or @mentions, directly to a private Slack channel. Now, users can choose to view their most relevant BetterWorks updates in the same tool they use to communicate and get work done every day instead of via email.
- Update and share progress from JIRA automatically – Product, IT and engineering teams that spend a majority of their time working in the Atlassian JIRA product can now connect that critical work data to goals in BetterWorks. The integration instantly captures progress towards goals as work is completed in JIRA, helping teams collaborate and share updates with the broader organization without disrupting their core workflow.
- Sync user data from SuccessFactors – Changes to organizational data in SuccessFactors, such as reporting structure shifts or new employees starting, are pulled into BetterWorks and updated automatically. Users can view the most relevant HR data with the additional context of goal alignment, current progress and historical achievements within BetterWorks.
