BEDGEAR® Announces New Limited-Edition Zoom Pillow Designed for Runners at the 2018 TCS New York City Marathon
- BEDGEAR Brings the Experience of Personalized Fit Performance® Pillows to the Global Running Community -
FARMINGDALE, N.Y., Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- BEDGEAR®, the global PERFORMANCE® lifestyle brand, today announced the debut of their new, limited-edition Zoom pillow as the Official Pillow and Mattress partner of the TCS New York City Marathon, created exclusively to commemorate this year's race and milestone achievement for participants. The new pillow, licensed by New York Road Runners (NYRR) features vibrant colors inspired by the renowned 26.2-mile course, BEDGEAR's proprietary Dri-Tec® Performance fabric technology, and a removable and washable cover.
As with all BEDGEAR Performance Pillow series, the Zoom Pillow has four different sizes – 0.0, 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0, each with a different profile which are selected based on an individual's body type and sleep position. The cover features BEDGEAR's Dri-Tec fabric that wicks away moisture, enabling the body to regulate its temperature at night for a cooler and drier sleep, helping runners recover at night and be more awake to perform the next day.
"Getting fit for a pillow is just as important as getting fit for your running shoes. We believe one-size does not fit all so that's why we created a proprietary pillow fitting process. With 30% of your alignment and comfort coming from the pillow, getting fit will maximize your sleep so you are more awake and can achieve your personal best," said Eugene Alletto, Founder and CEO of BEDGEAR. "We built this product specifically to support the global running community and ensure the 50,000+ runners have all of the tools they need to be ready for race day."
"The New York Road Runners aims to bring brands with best-in-class products to everyone who experiences the TCS New York City Marathon – from runners to spectators," said Sarah Cummins, vice president of business development and strategic partnerships, New York Road Runners. "We are thrilled that BEDGEAR chose to commemorate our iconic race with the creation of this pillow and offer their personalized fit experience to our runners."
BEDGEAR first introduced personalized fit pillows to the world with their belief that one size does not fit all. Today, BEDGEAR is proud to offer an expanded line of sleep essentials including mattresses, sheets, blankets, and more to help consumers build their optimal sleep environment based on their sleep preferences. The Zoom pillow will be offered at The Market @ Macy's, the TCS New York City Marathon Expo Presented by New Balance at BEDGEAR's Booth, #469 and at BEDGEAR.com.
"As a professional runner, I always get fit for my gear and I went looking for a partner that would give me one of the most important parts of my training – better sleep," said Stephanie Bruce, Professional American Long-Distance Runner and BEDGEAR Brand Ambassador. "BEDGEAR understands the strong connection between rest and recovery and athletic performance and as I prepare for my second TCS New York City Marathon, I feel confident in my ability to wake ready on my BEDGEAR products, fit specifically for me."
