Stricklin, the son of former NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competitor Hut Stricklin, will show off his No. 7 KOMA Unwind Liquid Relaxation Chevrolet and sign autographs for attendees and participants in the Kid's Zone beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5.
The 24-year old racer's Late Model will be decked out in pink, showing the company's support to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM). His autograph cards also available at the juncture will also feature a similar layout.
The Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure® is a fundraiser that features a 5K timed race, 5K non-competitive run / walk, one-mile route, 50-yard kids' dash, race expo, Survivor's tent, and much more! Festivities begin at 6:00 a.m., with the timed run beginning at 7:15 a.m., and the walk / run scheduled for lift off at 7:50 am.
The event is a celebration of life where runners and walkers of all ages gather to honor survivors who are winning the battle against breast cancer and to remember those who have lost their lives to this devastating disease.
"When we were presented the opportunity to partner with Taylor for this weekend's event, we couldn't say no," said BeBevCo CEO Brian Weber. "I've heard a lot of great things about Taylor and he hails from a great grass-roots racing family, which makes him a perfect addition to our (racing) family. We appreciate him allowing us to be a part of this weekend's activities. It's going to be a humbling moment for us."
Weber added, "We're proud to be supporters of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The disease affects a lot of people in this country and we all know someone in our lives who has been unfortunately diagnosed with Breast Cancer. During the month of October, it will be our goal to push the envelope and encourage everyone to take the precautions and more importantly, get tested."
Stricklin is equally thrilled to be a part of Saturday's festivities. "I want to thank KOMA Unwind for their support," he said. "They are a local company who truly cares about its residents and their customers. It's an honor for me to represent their brand at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Our pink No. 7 KOMA Unwind Chevrolet looks awesome and I can't wait for everyone to see it in person."
In addition to Stricklin, representatives from KOMA Unwind will be giving out free samples of the "Me Time" drink in the Expo Center until 11:00 a.m.
