Beazer Homes Named Second Guest Builder at McMillin's Summerly
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif., April 26, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- McMillin Communities has announced Beazer Homes USA, Inc., as the second guest builder within its master-planned community of Summerly in Lake Elsinore, Calif. Beazer Homes plans to build a 66-home neighborhood called Sunset Hills featuring three distinct floor plans of single- and two-story homes with approximately 1,856 to 2,414 square feet. While pricing has not been set, model home construction at Sunset Hills is anticipated to begin in August with a grand opening planned for the fall.
Beazer Homes is the second to sign on as a guest builder at Summerly behind Richmond American who announced in February its plans to build the 74-home Northstar neighborhood within the community.
"We are thrilled to be working with Beazer Homes for our second collection of homes at Summerly," said president and CEO Mark McMillin of McMillin Communities. "We are confident that they will do an outstanding job building quality homes for buyers in search of the perfect neighborhood."
Development at Summerly began in late 2008 after completion of nine model homes, a golf course and some infrastructure by John Laing Homes. McMillin purchased Summerly in a joint venture with Los Angeles-based Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. and Civic Partners of Huntington Beach, Calif.
Part of the Eastlake Specific Plan, McMillin has invested more than $2.5 million into the community to tackle the required grading, site preparation and the installation of critical public improvements.
The mixed-use community will consist of 22 residential neighborhoods with more than 37 acres of public parks and a number of private parks and recreation facilities, including a private clubhouse overlooking the existing Links at Summerly Golf Course as well as an elementary school site. An information center will be opening in May at The Links Golf Course that will serve as a place to obtain more information on the overall community.
McMillin has developed a total of 17 master-planned communities in Southern California since 1960. For additional information and to join McMillin's interest list, visit www.summerlyhomes.com.
Beazer Homes USA, Inc., headquartered in Atlanta, is one of the top ten home builders in the United States based on number of homes closed and has ongoing operations in 16 states.
