KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BATS Global Markets, a leading operator of securities markets in the U.S. and Europe, reports the BATS 1000® Index (Ticker: BATSK) fell 407.78 points, or 2.2%, this week to close at 17,847.88 as of the 4 p.m. ET market close today. The decline marked the third drop in four weeks for the Index.

Utilities led the BATS 1000® lower this week with a 2.8% drop as each of the 10 sectors fell at least 1.8%. The BATS Utilities Sector Index was flat last week.
