LOS ANGELES, Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Barco™ Uniforms, a recognized leader of design innovation in the premium apparel industry, today announced the hiring of Edward Mitzel as its Digital Leader and Senior Vice President of Technology, and David Price as Senior Vice President of Global Supply Chain. Both will report to President and CEO David Murphy.
The addition of these two new hires to the senior leadership team underscores the company's continued commitment to technology advancement and elevated service levels in product fulfillment. Barco continues to see dynamic market share growth and will continue to build on the global popularity and success of recent new brand launches, including Barco One Wellness, the first-ever professional apparel curated and infused with bio-minerals, and a new modern spandex-stretch collection of Grey's Anatomy scrubs. These recent additions join Barco's already-world-famous family of brands, which also include Skechers by Barco, scrubs especially designed for hospital enterprise groups.

Edward Mitzel will be responsible for IT strategic innovation and digital unified commerce. He has led global information technology and digital transformations for medical, manufacturing, construction, hospitality and retail organizations. He has held positions of leadership at global organizations, including Hanger Orthopedic Group, P.F. Changs, Pei Wei and Gate Gourmet. Edward has led centers of excellence, utilizing technology to enhance and improve business logistics, finance and operations. He has championed digital technology and new services for customers to enhance their experience through emerging business models and social channels. Edward has a B.S. in Business Administration, a master's degree in Economics from the University of Baltimore and a Masters in Information Technology from Johns Hopkins University.
David Price brings over 25 years of experience to Barco's global supply chain, and will help support the dynamic and diverse growth the company is experiencing. David's experience includes leading supply chain, global sourcing, and logistics operations for companies such as Cintas, Aramark, Hagger and The Hampshire Group. In his past positions, David has efficiently delivered and streamlined processes, managed high volume throughput, and led large operational teams and overseas sourcing organizations. David has an Engineering/Industrial Psychology educational background from the University of South Carolina and Southern Technical Institute.
