Bahrain Reiterates Support for Fight Against Terrorism

MANAMA, Bahrain, May 3, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bahrain News Agency reported today that the Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its full support for efforts to end terrorism in light of the death of Osama bin Laden.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement that terrorism has affected many nations in the Arab world, particularly Saudi Arabia. The statement continued that Saudi has been the target of several attacks aimed at undermining security and stability. These attacks have been intended to spread fear, in addition to taking the lives of innocent people.

The Kingdom said it also hoped that the death of Osama bin Laden would provide an opportunity to mobilize international efforts to find appropriate solutions to eliminate terrorism and to stop those behind the misguided ideology.
