Bahama Breeze Invites Guests To Celebrate Sunsets in the Island Tradition
Survey Reveals Sunsets Serve Up the Best Beach Moments, Inspiring Summer Long Celebration at Bahama Breeze
ORLANDO, Fla., July 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- There is a moment on summer evenings when the sun dips below the horizon and the sky is aglow: sunset. According to a Bahama Breeze survey conducted by ORC International*, 80 percent of people prefer company when watching a sunset, and more than 50 percent prefer to experience them on the beach. With that in mind, Bahama Breeze wants to bring an island tradition straight to you this summer with their new celebration, SunsetFest. The event kicks off July 4 and continues through August 31.
Every sunset will be celebrated this summer with authentic cocktails, live music and glowing Sunset Toasts. Every Saturday, Bahama Breeze will turn up the sunset heat with Saturday Island Parties at each of their 37 locations. These deck parties will kick off with live local bands and handcrafted island cocktails perfect for summer sipping. After the sun goes down, the party heats up with DJ's that will spin into the night, keeping the energy and glow of summer sunsets going all night long.
"We did some research and found that 53 percent of people prefer to experience sunsets on the beach," said Michael Kneidinger, Bahama Breeze President. "We want to capture that tropical feel and magical time of day. After all, summers are better when toasting to island sunsets with cocktails served out of coconuts."
The Island Parties will also feature outdoor summer games, fun prizes, as well as an exclusive glowing cocktail – The Green Flash. This sunset worthy drink captures the elusive moment when the sky glows a mysterious green just as the sun sinks below the horizon.
Bahama Breeze wants to capture your best sunset moments and invites guests and non-guests alike to submit photos for a chance to win a Bahamian getaway, courtesy of Bahama Breeze and Breezes Resort & Spa. Guests can enter by taking a picture of their SunsetFest experience at Bahama Breeze or of a sunset they caught on their own and tag the photos with #SunsetFest15 into their posts on Twitter or Instagram. Additional winners will be selected each week throughout the celebration for a variety of prizes, including surfboards, gift cards and more.
Taking the nationwide summer celebration to the next level, Bahama Breeze will also be hosting a SunsetFest Block Party in Tampa, Florida on July 10th at 6:00pm featuring the Bay Kings band and a partnership with Tampa Bay Watch, a nonprofit stewardship program dedicated to protecting and restoring the Tampa Bay estuary. The Bahama Breeze lot will transform into a massive deck party with summer games, Caribbean-inspired food from the grill, enticing cocktails and music to keep the sunset glow alive.
